PERRY LATEST

LEICESTER’S Max Perry will hopefully be released from hospital on Saturday after undergoing surgery on his broken ankle.

Perry was involved in a horror crash in the Lion Cubs’ NDL Grand Final at Oxford on Tuesday and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with multiple injuries.

He had been expected to undergo an operation on his wrist, but this proved not to be necessary, and it has been put back in place under general anaesthetic.

The ankle operation took place on Wednesday afternoon, and both his wrist and ankle are in a cast.

A further MRI scan for the arteries in his neck all came back clear, and there are no issues being caused by his bruised lungs.

Max’s family have thanked everyone for their kind messages and support at such a difficult time. We hope he is able to return home this weekend as planned to continue his recovery.
