LEICESTER go for Premiership Pairs glory when they host one of the biggest meetings on the domestic calendar on Thursday (7.30pm).
All seven top-fight clubs will be represented at the Pidcock Motorycles Arena, Beaumont Park, with a bumper 23-race programme in prospect to decide the champions.
Watling JCB Lions boss Stewart Dickson has plumped for his in-form opening pairing of Max Fricke and Justin Sedgmen to represent the hosts, and they will be joined by Rising Star Drew Kemp, who acts as a reserve and must also take at least one ride during the meeting.
Amongst the strong combinations elsewhere, Belle Vue are represented by Dan Bewley and Brady Kurtz, whilst Sheffield track Jack Holder and Tobiasz Musielak.
Former Lions star Richie Worrall is in the Peterborough combination, whilst for Wolverhampton Sam Masters and Steve Worrall are enjoying as much success as Fricke and Sedgmen.
Dickson said: “People may say that we’ve got a home track advantage but the fact is Belle Vue have raced here twice, Ipswich have been here twice, Sheffield have been here recently and have a strong pairing, so in general the riders here have done plenty of laps around Leicester.
“It’s a big honour for the club to bring this Major Event to Leicester. It’s no secret that there was a huge amount of work done on the track here over the winter, and it’s already come in for plenty of praise from visiting riders.
“The most important thing is that it’s an entertaining night with some good racing, so I very much hope we serve up a product worthy of the occasion.”
The action gets underway on Thursday at 7.30pm, with gates opening at 6pm.
